LCash SMS Terms & Conditions
These SMS Terms & Conditions explain the text messages Place Stars, Inc., a Nevada corporation doing business as LCash (“LCash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), sends to you: what they contain, how often they arrive, what they cost, how to stop them, and what we do — and do not do — with the consent you give us.
They apply to every text (SMS) and picture (MMS) message we send to a mobile number you have given us, and they form part of our Terms of Use.
1. The Messages We Send
LCash texts you about your own account and your own money. Depending on how you use the Services, you may receive:
- one-time passcodes and verification codes — when you sign in, reset a password, confirm your phone number, or approve a sensitive change;
- transaction alerts — wallet funding, card payments, declines, refunds, and reversals;
- card notices — card issued, frozen, unfrozen, replaced, or expiring;
- security alerts — sign-in from a new device, suspected fraud, or a change to your account details;
- account and service notices — verification steps still outstanding, limits reached, or a change we are required to tell you about;
- support replies — answers from our support team when you have contacted us.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages to a number that was given to us only for account, security, or transaction purposes.
2. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. Our texts follow your own activity, so how many you receive depends on how often you sign in, fund your wallet, and use your card. An active wallet may generate several messages a day; a dormant account may go weeks without one.
3. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. LCash does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may, according to your plan — and international rates may apply where our messages reach you outside your home network. Check with your carrier if you are unsure. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How to Stop Messages, and How to Get Help
Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
- Reply STOP to any message from LCash and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after it. Every standard opt-out keyword our messaging providers recognize is honored the same way — STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, OPT-OUT, REMOVE, TD, and ARRET among them — so whichever one you send, it works.
- Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message from LCash and we will reply with contact details and a pointer back to this page.
- You can also opt out at any time by emailing support@lcash.com or by turning off SMS notifications in the LCash app.
- To start receiving messages again, reply START — or UNSTOP or YES — to the same number, or turn SMS notifications back on in the app.
Opting out of text messages does not close your LCash account. We will still reach you by email and in-app notification where we need to, and you may still receive a one-time passcode if you request one by signing in.
5. Your Consent
You give us permission to text you when you enter a mobile number and opt in — when you create an LCash account and verify your mobile number in the app, when you add or verify a phone number later, when you turn SMS notifications on in the app’s settings, or when you ask us to text you. The account you create is governed by our Terms of Use, of which these SMS Terms form part. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase, and apart from the one-time passcode that verifies your number it is not required to use the Services — every category of message listed above can be switched off in the app without closing your account. You must be the subscriber of the mobile number you give us, or be authorized by the subscriber to use it, and you agree to tell us if the number stops being yours.
Place Stars, Inc., the company behind LCash, also runs a web opt-in form. If you have not given us a number in the app you can enter one and tick the consent box on the Place Stars opt-in form. Read the scope on that form before you tick it: it covers one-time passcodes and verification codes only. The transaction, card, security, and account messages listed above are turned on and off in the LCash app, not on that form.
6. We Do Not Share or Sell Your SMS Consent Data
This is the short version, and we mean all of it:
- No third party ever receives your SMS consent. The mobile number you give us and the opt-in you grant with it are never shared with, sold, rented, leased, or otherwise disclosed to any third party or affiliate for that party’s own purposes.
- Your opt-in information is never shared for marketing purposes. We do not share SMS opt-in data, consent records, or mobile numbers with anyone — including our affiliates and the other Place Stars companies — so that they can market to you.
- The one exception is delivery. Your number is passed to the licensed communication service providers that carry our messages — our SMS aggregator and your mobile carrier — for the sole purpose of getting the message you asked for onto your phone. Those providers are contractually barred from using it for anything else.
- We may also disclose information where the law compels us to, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Sharing that is necessary to run the Services themselves — for example sending your details to a payment or card-issuing partner so a transaction can settle — is described in the Privacy Policy and is separate from your SMS opt-in, which stays with us.
7. Delivery
Delivery is not guaranteed. Messages can be delayed or dropped by a carrier, by network conditions, or by a handset, and LCash is not liable for a message that does not arrive. Do not rely on a text message alone for a time-critical decision about your money; the LCash app is always the authoritative record of your balance and transactions.
8. Privacy and Terms
How we collect, use, store, and protect the information behind these messages — including your mobile number — is set out in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Services is governed by our Terms of Use.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed. Continuing to receive our messages after a change means you accept the updated terms.
